Belly Fat Risks

Belly fat is a common problem faced by both men and women. Belly fat, also known as visceral fat, is the abdominal obesity which stores the abdominal fat in surplus, resulting in increase in waist size. There are several belly fat risks associated with human health. The main problem of belly fat is that it’s not restricted to the additional layer of fat that’s located below the skin. It involves visceral fat that gets stored inside the abdomen that surrounds your internal organs. Even thin individuals with visceral fat are at risk for chronic illnesses.

The problem of belly fat has been linked with several disorders and health issues that could be life threatening. A study reveals that almost 52% of people having belly fat problem have high chances of colon cancer. The exact reason behind this problem is not known yet, but many health experts believe that lack of proper exercise and unhealthy eating habits are the root causes of belly fat. These risk factors can increase to a great extent if proper action is not taken.

Belly Fat in Women


There are various reasons for belly fat in women. Belly fat is the body's visceral fat which is situated in the peritoneal cavity in between the internal organs. This fat has severe side effects on human health. Most of the women feel uncomfortable in carrying abdominal fat. They try all the possible things to make it flat and to stay fit. Few of them succeed with it as they have proper knowledge while there are some of them who fail in achieving flat stomach because of wrong knowledge.

It is possible to lose and keep off that newly formed belly fat, but like everything else in life it does require some work, in this case exercise and diet control.

Belly fat is caused due to many reasons in men and women. Excessive stomach fat can cause various diseases that can lead to death. Diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, high blood pressure and many other diseases are caused due to belly fat. So, to avoid all these diseases, it is necessary to treat the abdominal fat as early as possible.
